MY TEACHING JOURNEY

I have 29 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. I have had much success in the world of education. I spent most of my career working with students at Title schools, often with students that others thought couldn’t learn. I considered it a calling to help those students be successful. Those same strategies are also better for students who learn quickly and easily. They very likely will enjoy learning much more.

I have had success in turning schools around as featured in the book, "Living Faithfully, the Transformation of Washington School." The book gave me the opportunity to attend conferences throughout the United States. I also had the privilege of working with doctoral students from Columbia University, Teachers College, as the book was written. My success has given me the opportunity to speak publicly and consult. My hope is that I can reach more people through my blog.

There are many educational philosophies so my philosophy may not be the same as yours. My thoughts and beliefs on how students learn and schools look may not match with yours. But, if it does, follow me. My goal on the blog is to help parents, teachers and administrators learn easy strategies to help learners. I want learners to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners!
