You can create a home you love on a very tight budget and you deserve it! You really can with the help of thrift stores and great sales. You have to shop with the right mind set.

One of my favorite places to shop are garage sales. Garage sales are the best! I don’t always make it early so I may miss out on some good buys but I am fine with going later and looking through what is left. That is when I find what I like at an even lower price!

Another favorite are thrift stores. Some thrift stores are better than others and you have to visit the store often. I look for stores that are reasonably priced and items move in and out quickly. One thing I have learned is to go up the aisle one direction and then turn around and go down the aisle a different direction. I am always amazed at what I missed seeing the first time.

A few things to remember when treasure hunting are to take a tape measure in your purse and carry your phone. You may want to look up an item to see if it is of any value. But, if you love the item it doesn’t matter either way. Don’t forget to ask yourself if you could paint the item to make it the color you need or if the item could be repurposed. But, remember, you only buy it if you love it!
